Atomic hydrogen is produced when molecular hydrogen is passed through an electric spark between two tungesten electrodes. It is stronger reducing agent than nascent hydrogen. It can be isolated for few seconds. it can reduce oxides, chlorides, sulphides of metals like CU, Ag, Hg, into corresponding metals. It is the most reactive form of hydrogen.
