Young Man with a Horn is a 1950 drama film based on a biographical novel of the same name about Bix Beiderbecke, the jazz cornetist. The movie stars Kirk Douglas, Lauren Bacall, Doris Day, and Hoagy Carmichael, and was directed by Michael Curtiz and produced by Jerry Wald. The screenplay was written by Carl Foreman and Edmund H. North.

The directing from Michael Curtiz is very good and the photography from Ted McCord captures the smoke filled nature of jazz clubs perfectly, whilst the acting from all is never less than above average.

I really like the title.. The movie sounds good to me though I haven't heard this film neither i have watched it yet . . Its kind of a new film to me. Well thank you so much for sharing that thread with us in this forum.
