Number of views

When we go through any of the section, there in the table a column, VIEWS is seen . I have not understand the meaning and purpose of the column yet. What is it exactly?

I also do not know exactly what this column views is for. But I think may be it means the number of viewers that have viewed the post.

I don't know what is view i like is it number .What time is that problem come up you worke.

The column , views is not creating any problems to me but every time when i log in to the forum, the wish to know about it. So, please someone inform me about this.

I am not getting the answer till now. I want to request the moderators to clear my confusions. This is what i don't like. I am not getting my query solved till now..

TOPICS - REPLIES - VIEWS - LAST POSTS

If you are talking about the Stat of the Topics, i don't think there is any thing so much confusing. (1)Topics mean- Title of your Post (2) Replies mean- No. of Total replies on that particular Topic (3) Views mean- no. of total views i.e how many times the post is viewed by users. (4) Last Post mean- The Most recent Post/reply on that Topic.

here pari might be wishing to know about the purpose of keeping the column for viewer but moderator just answered us about the meaning of those columns.so,pari...lets understand it in this way,viewer column helps the new viewer to know about the popularity of the post by seeing the number of viewers.i guess we can say it makes us notice how famous is the post among the others by the numbers of viewers.am i near to right,moderator pravas?

You are absolutely right.

yes its not really confusing to understand about 'views' column.. it is simply showing the number of times that the post is viewed ! i don't think there are any other purpose of this column besides showing the times that the post is viewed. Respected admins have already posted here so i think pari's question is already solved !

Thank you very much for clearing my confusions. That is what i want to know from a along time. I wish i could clear my queries in time in the coming days.
