Mixed Pickle home made
A meal of rice is incomplete withot tasty and spicy pickle. And's it's really boring having bottled pickles all the time. Here's a recipe on mixed pickle that's very easy to make also can be served for functions at your home.
Ingredients
Dried small and big pies (sano ra thulo kerau) you will find in market.
Potato, Raddish, Green chili, Lhapshi.
Chili powder, salt, oil, methi , Turmeric powder, Teel.
Making
First you have to soak the small and big peas in water better if you soak it before a day. Next day you will see the peas become ready to eat then drain them dry. Then boil some potatoes. Peel them and cut those in dice shape and mix them with the peas after draining the water from them. Similarly cut the raddish, green chilies and mix it also boil the Lhapsi. Mix well squeege the Lhapsi well and mix it with others. Then add the spices chili powder and salt. Next get a small pan and heat some oil about 5 big table spoons add methi wait till they are black similarly on other pan heat it and add the teel fry it without oil gives nice fragment be careful it may burn then make to powder using mixer can be done by hand . Turn off the gas with oil pan and wait till it's cooled a bit then add turmeric powder on that. Stir then add that on the mixture of peas. Remember the turmeric shouldn't be burned to black just stir for a short time. Now you just have to mix them well and it's ready to eat. Point to remember taste varies to people so if you want to have it hot then add chili powder according to that same goes with Lhapsi it's for the sour taste it's more useful and gives taste that that of lemon. If you feel bothering then try using it's powder easily found in market as Lhapsi ko Dhulo. You have to soak it in water for some time before putting in mixture. Remember don't put a lot unless you want it sour because it's really sour in taste so put it with that in mind. Just mix well then it's ready.

Re: Mixed Pickle home made
Yes, it's much better to have pickles made at home with fresh ingredients. Those found in market are made early and not fresh and taste good as made at home. I prefer home made than that of shops.

Re: Mixed Pickle home made
I too get to have such home made pickle but especially in winter!! in summer, the only pickle we make in home is the ripe mango pickle yumm!!
Re: Mixed Pickle home made
Yeah ripe mango pickles are really yummy. And it's easy to make. Well having a meal with a pickle gives entirely delicious flavor making you feel content. But better if you make some at home rather than eating of market.
