Pandu was crown prince of Hastinapur but because of the curse he left his kingdom with his wives and went for penance. He accidently killed a sage Rishi Kindama and his wife and at their dying moments Rishi Kindama cursed Panu ' You shall not ever have the pleasure of being intimate, the time you touch someone with being intimate intentions you shall meet your end' and died. Having this curse Panu was devastated but now nothing could be done so he left his kingdom and went for penance for what he have done.
