Birth of Kauravas

Gandhari was a very righteous and religious person yet because of fate's demand instead of child she gave birth to a mass of meat. Which was later on divided 101 pieces and kept inside a mud pot for three days and chanted by the great royal priest. After three days the pot began to break along with child's cry. The first one was the Duryodhana eldest of Kauravas. It is also said that at the time of Duryodhana's birth whole sky was gloomy and crows were all over the sky a very bad sign something really destructive and unlucky.

Oh thats the story behind that. I didnt know about that. I was thinking something else. And how come a wise woman gave birth to an evil? well thanks for that information though.

Yes quite shocking isn't it to know that such a kind and graceful women gave birth to evil. But fate is something which cannot be avoided and is always surprising and shocking. It is also said that the present you take is connected to the past that you have done according to religious myths.
