BP and Pulse rate Empty BP and Pulse rate

A normal adult person should have a resting blood pressure of 120/80 mm and pulse (heart rate) or about 72 beats per minute. There can be many different reasons for having higher reading of BP or pulse rate. There are many situations in which both can go high, like during anxiety or physical exercise. During fever, heart rate may go up while blood pressure may actually go down a bit. Similarly in some thyroid diseases (Hypothyroidism) BP may be high yet heart rate may be low. Most adults with high blood pressure do have normal heart rates.
