small info on solar wind

Solar wind isn't actually wind created from air (there is no atmosphere in space). It actually comes from the sun it consists of energetic ionic particles. Many of it also reaches earth, but we are protected by the earth's strong magnetic field. It is produced in the sun when the outer layer of jumping gas reaches an exceptionally high height. This throws a lot of nuclear particles out of the sun in many directions. Solar wind is the cause of the production of so-called northern lights on earth. When solar wind reaches to the outer earth atmosphere, it ionizes many inert gases and the gas glows due to energy. Mainly these lights are only seen on the pole, but if the solar wind is powerful, then it can also reach the equatorial parts.
