AB de Villiers retired just short of a century as South Africa's batsmen impressed again on day one of their tour match against Derbyshire. De Villiers smashed 97 off 96 balls, including two sixes and 16 fours, as South Africa declared on 365-4. He put on 157 for the third wicket with JP Duminy (69), while Faf du Plessis (68 not out) and Albie Morkel (49 not out) shared an unbroken century stand.
