Central Bhutan Tours
Central Bhutan Tours are quite popular and many visitors travel to the central part of Bhutan. Central Bhutan is separated from the western region by the Black Mountain Range.
Trongsa Dzongkhag is perched on a hill, and consists of a charming little town hidden behind the longest and perhaps the most majestic of all Bhutanese Dzongs (fortresses). The Trongsa Dzong is an important historical and cultural structure. High on a hill, with the backdrop of the Black Mountains to the right, the Dzong appears to be floating on mist. The Royal Family of Bhutan descended from a man who was the governor (Penlop) of the District before the hereditary system of Monarchy was established in Bhutan, and it is traditional for the Crown Prince of Bhutan to assume the title of the Trongsa Penlop in preparation for assuming the role of King.
