Temperature is measured by thermometers in centigrade, kelvin or fahrenheit scale. Kelvin is the S.I unit of temperature.thermometer is constructed on the principle that, the substance expands on heating and contracts on cooling. Liquid thermometers are more commonly used in which the liquid like mercury or alcohol is used as the thermometric substance.
