All cutting instruments have sharp edges.why?
: The sharp edges make the cross sectional area of cutting instruments small and as we know,
p=F/A
so, our force will get distributed over small area thereby increasing pressure .This makes cutting easier.So, cutting instruments bare provides with sharp edges.
