Mites surpass all other arachnids in numbers; they are minute microscopic Acarina (order). They are commonly known as magnemite and it is also known as itch mite too. The genus of the itch mite is Sarcoptes scabiei. This is unpleasant, dangerous ectoparasite, which attacks man. It also attacks domestic animal such as horse, goats, buffaloes, sheep, dog and camels etc.
