These lice bite severely and are annoying pests. These are more prevalent among the poor classes, particularly among the children of communities. The head lice inhabit the hairs of the scalp, and the body lice occur mainly in the seams of clothing and on the bodies of the hosts. The crab lice are found on the pubic and perianal region, but at times it may occur in the other parts of the body as well. Louse is an active traveler. But, the crab louse does not move very much from the site of its birth. These are prevalent on those people who live in the low hygienic conditions.
