The government on Monday discussed on the new draft of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policy that among others proposes hosts of incentives to foreign investors and seeks government to open overseas investment for Nepali business people.

The draft prepared by the Institute for Policy Research and Development (IPRAD), an independent think tank, has also proposed exemption of income tax on exports and pushed the government to refund certain portion of tax collected at customs, VAT and excise duty in order to lure foreign investors.
