world's first horror film

Today there are so many horror films that ones get confused on which to watch but don't you get curiosity on which film was the first horror movie that was introduced in the world. The first horror movie appeared in the late 1890's as shorts. Le Manior du Diable AKA The devil's Castle which was written and produced by Georges Melies and released in 1896 is generally credited as being the world's first horror film and vampire movie, it is only 2 minutes long and depicted Mephistopheles summoning ghosts and demons. There's also argument on first horror film because in 1895 American Inventor Thomas Edison created 18 seconds length horror film called " The Execution of Mary Stuart" and it depicted a woman being beheaded. But due to some reason "Le Manior du Dialle AKA The devil's Castle is said to be the first horror film in general.

This movie has A woman wanders through society looking for someone to love, but discovers she is unnoticed and ignored by everyone she encounters.it's too great horror movie.

"La manoir du diable", although having been made before this film, is actually a bit more elaborate and longer. "Le château hanté" hurries through a series of appearances, disappearances and substitutions, ending with the revelation of Mephistopheles—all within 44 seconds and a single, stationary camera position.
