According to some scholars, shankha is also used in preparing many kinds of Ayurvedic medicines by applying the holy water from shankha in the medicine.

Oh really this is one of the very important thing I heard and knew till now because I knew Sankha is only used for some kind of Pooja.

Same here but i also heard that shanka was blowed in time of wars, destruction or a new begining beside pooja. Thanks for the new information and sharing it.
