The Seven Keys to Success
The Seven Keys are:
1.Attitude
2.Knowledge
3.Tools
4.Techniques
5.Time
6.Imagination
7.Support
Attitude is the primary key – the one that leads to everything else. Pat Parelli sums up the keys like this: “Having the right attitude leads you to knowledge. Knowledge leads you to the type of tools you would or wouldn’t use, which leads to the techniques that you would or wouldn’t use. If you have a positive, progressive and natural attitude, you will take the time it takes for yourself and your horse. Einstein said that ‘imagination is even more valuable than knowledge.’ Imagination is the key to being able to the things that natural horsemanship enables you to do. And without the support of mentors, instructors and a community of like-minded learners, progress would be much, much slower.”
