if one or more elements of the network are non-linear, the network degenerates to either class B or class C type. if the non-linear element can be linearized atleast over a limited range of operation, the network system is said to be of class B type. on the other hand, if the non-linear elements can not be linearized even over the limited range of operation, the network is said to be of class C type.
