Ageing and its effect

The process of deterioration of structure and function of various body parts like cells, organs, tissues due to increasing of age is called ageing. The branch of science which deals about the study of ageing is called “Gerontology”. Ageing decreases power of metabolic activity, efficiency of doing various activities, power of repairing of damaged tissue. Ultimately, it leads to death.
