Bayern Munich has denied reports that it made an attempt to sign Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo.

The 33-year-old has rejuvenated his career after starring in Antonio Conte's unbeaten Bianconeri side last season, and also led Italy to the final of Euro 2012 this summer.

However, the Bavarian giant has denied that it made any attempts to lure the former Milan man to the Allianz Arena, as has been reported in various Italian media outlets.
