In my experience, the special voodoo that gets software installation to really work is to do everything you
intend to do
before
you deploy the package. If the client gets the deployment and it works fine, they may not check
back with the server to see if there have been any changes, so it’s better not to make any after deployment. This is
another reason to use the Advanced Deployment option as a default. It’ll give you a chance to double-check your settings
before clicking OK.
