If you want to install newer version of operating system without formatting the disk, follow these simple steps :-
1. Insert the bootable DVD into the DVD drive
2. Run "setup.exe" If autoplay is disabled, brouse the cd and click on run/auto run/setup icon.
3. The setup will start and the os will be installed. Your old files will move to the folder named "windows old" on the same disk.

Yes I have seen them doing it many times though I have not done it personally. So thank you so much for sharing that thread with us in this forum.

Very nice tip though i also know about it i haven't tried it yet. But if ever needed then i will definitely try it out. Thank you for sharing this fact here in this forum.
