Is forex trading legal in Thailand?

Well the good news is it is 100 % legal to trade forex in Thailand !

The laws for trading in Thailand are enforced by the Securities and Exchange Commission-SEC[1].

For Forex trading, the regulations fall within the "Securities and Exchange Act, B.E. 2535". This piece of legislation defines the rules for trading securities, investment advisory service, and futures and options. It states that:

"... a securities company shall comply with the rules, conditions and procedures as specified in the notification of the SEC"

Most popular and named trading platforms online are also regulated by authorities from other countries such as Cyprus by CySEC[2] (Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission), ASIC[3] (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) which are a few of most common regulators for top Forex platforms. However one should be vary of brokers who claim to offer bonuses for opening accounts and various other too good to be true claims. A good broker will never offer free money ! One should also stick with bigger name brokers for they are often better regulated by authorities and have the financial muscle to carry out trades.
